What were Rome's problems? Rome's Problems included Economic, military, and political. No good military lead came up after Marcus Aurelius passed. This caused Roman military leaders to battle their armies for different land. But the land was so big and the government couldn't afford it all.
What changes did Diocletian and Constantine make? Diocletian split rome up into three sections with different rulers at each. Constantine changed the Religion to Christianity which meant Christians could perform practices in the open, not in hiding.

Rome's major problems were how much land it had. If Rome hadn't expanded as much as it had, it may not have fallen. Rome's massive amount of territory created enemies. Some of these enemies just coveted some lands that Rome held. Others may have just been jealous of it's culture. Rome's poor economy did not help either. It made enemies see Rome as a falling civilization. They thought Rome couldnt afford defenses anymore so they just marched in and took control.
